Hadassah, Jewish Women's Archive and Uprooted are partnering to strip away taboos about family-building in the Jewish community. We want to hear your stories: whether about fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, adoption, foster-parenting, LGBTQ+ family-building, step-parenting, or living child-free.

If you find yourself on the other side of a fertility journey and are looking for ways to connect to folks who might still be struggling, consider joining Shamash, our peer mentoring program.
If you would like to bring the ROOTS to your synagogue or Jewish community, please be in touch with Dalia Davis & Stacie Baker, our Spiritual and Therapeutic advisors. Together, you can create a curriculum that speaks to your community's particular need for support. We are excited to be in partnership with you.
TRYmester is a response to the surprise, frustration, hope, grief, anger, and fear of those trying to grow their families. It is one of the ways that Uprooted works to end the harmful stigma around infertility in Jewish communities.
This multidisciplinary performance contains original music, monologues, and dance numbers that were created and crafted by those who have been on their own fertility journeys. TRYmester travels across the United States to raise awareness about infertility stigma and foster community for those who are on their own journeys.
While TRYmester is typically an in-person performance that brings the community together, Uprooted is responding to the changing times and has begun the process of filming TRYmester. Please enjoy this preview!
